One unique classification system of Americas-Union |
|
| |
(1) In recognition of the importance of knowledge standards and knowledge architectures, Americas-Union shall seek to adopt a single unique knowledge architecture for the creation, transmission and use of all forms of knowledge.
|
|
| |
(2) Where international digital knowledge standards exist for the identification of goods/services, industry and general trade, Americas-Union shall ensure the standards are fully integrated into the national digital knowledge architectures of Americas-Union.
|
|
| |
(3) That Americas-Union has 1 category system for all information, functions, descriptions. The same category system is used for classifying objects in accounts as well as ordering systems.
|
|
| |
(i) That the category system is complete and covers all needs.
|
|
| |
(ii) That the category system is based on the standard language used
by the business. |
|
| |
(iii) That the category system is scaleable (ie it can be viewed at different
levels of detail) |
|
| |
(iv) That all hard copy information is classified and stored according to
the standard classification system |
|
| |
(v) That all electronic information is classified and stored according to
the same classification system.
