Financial and employment
conditions |
|
| |
All police officers should be paid on a scale that represents seniority as the essential motivation of conditions, as well as citation awards. |
|
| |
The lowest paid police should be new recruits, with the highest paid police being heads of specialized units. |
|
| |
The commissioner of police should never be paid higher than their commander as such a scale diminishes the credibility and strength of the office of commissioner. |
|
| 62.2 |
Citation awards |
|
| |
All patrol police are assigned to a particular precinct. During that assignment, the level of crime in that precinct is a responsibility in part to each and every police officer. A police officer that successfully completes a tour of duty at a precinct and meets the minimum required standards for law and order in that precinct is liable for a citation award which carries with it a once off bonus and the permanent ribbon signifying the particular precinct to which the officer was assigned. |
