| Article 85-Building & Construction Systems | ||
| 85.1 | Building & Construction Systems | |
| The buildings and fixed assets represent a critical element of the quality of life for current and future generations. Citizens need homes, places of work, schools, hospitals and many other types of assets. |
||
| It shall remain a primary object of the Union to ensure the proper construction and safety standards are adopted for all construction so that structures that are built now and in the future are safe from damage and able to withstand the forces of nature. |
||
| 85.2 | Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems | |
| The Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems shall be vested with the sole authority of the good management of the building & construction standards and systems and the operation of the Building & Construction Agency of the Americas Union. |
||
| The Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems shall be a direct appointment by employment contract of the Secretary-General upon approval of General Assembly for whatever term the Secretary-General deems is appropriate. |
||
| The role of Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems of the Union shall hold the dual position as a member of the General Assembly with all the privileges and power of the role.The tenure as General Assembly or is determined by the concurrent tenure as a Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union. |
||
| The Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union shall also be a member of the Supreme Board charged with the responsibility of managing the day to day affairs of the Americas Union. | ||
| As Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems of the Union, it is tasked to this person the burden of protecting and ensuring the best possible standards of building and construction for all the citizens of the Americas Union. It is also the primary responsibility of the Director of the Supreme Director of National Construction Systems of the Union to manage the Building and Construction Codes which outlines all approved building methods, designs, heritage considerations and rules for construction. | ||
| 85.3 | Supreme Building & Construction Systems Secretariat | |
| The Supreme Building & Construction Secretariat of the Americas Union shall be responsible for the administrative duties of the Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union and their reports to the Supreme Board and the General Assembly. |

| 85.4 | Supreme Board of Building & Construction Systems | |
| To ensure the good conduct of all office bearers and the fulfillment of services consistent with the rules of this constitution a permanent committee known as the Supreme Board of Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union shall be established. | ||
| The Chairman of this Board shall be the Supreme Director of Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union and the remaining members of the Board shall be the appointed National Directors of Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union in the various sovereign nations for which the Union is established. | ||
| As Chairman of this Supreme Board of Building & Construction Systems, the Supreme Director of Supreme Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union shall have the power to set all agendas, date for meetings and minutes of meetings. By this constitution, the Supreme Board of Building & Construction Systems shall meet not less than four (4) times a year. | ||
| Vested by this constitution, the Supreme Board of Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union shall have the power to veto the executive orders of the Chairman on a vote of simple majority with each member having one vote. However, the Board shall not have the power to veto motions relating to the payment of expenses and income. | ||
| 85.5 | Supreme Building & Construction Agency of the Americas Union | |
| By this constitution, a permanent agency shall be established for the ongoing provision and management of building and construction services for the Union. This agency shall be known as the Supreme Building & Construction Agency of the Americas Union. | ||
| By this constitution the day to day management of the Supreme Building & Construction Agency of the Americas Union shall be vested in the sole authority of theSupreme Director of Supreme Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union upon the approval of major decisions by the Supreme Board of Building & Construction Systems of the Americas Union. | ||
